Lewa Wildlife Conservancy
In your next safari, the perfect choice is Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, home to the entire endangered black rhino population, white rhino, and the big 5. It’s located to the north of Mount Kenya and south of Isiolo.
Lewa is a sanctuary for diverse wildlife array and hosts a myriad of game species in the plains. The construction of an elephant corridor alleviating pressure between the migrating pachyderms and humans is among the great cutting edge projects in the conservancy. The corridor extends from Mt. Kenya through Lewa and out to the Samburu region.
Guests in the conservancy have unfettered access to the incredibly beautiful landscape supporting various animals such as mighty lions, antelope, striking cheetahs, stealthy leopards, and other predators. Lewa is home to an abundance of endangered fauna and flora. Visitors experience an enjoyable walk as they watch wildlife and Maasai Moran grazing. After the game drive is a relaxing visit to Samburu or Maasai cultural village, you interact with locals.
Maasai Mara National Reserve
Maasai Mara in Narok Kenya is one of the greatest wildlife reserves in Africa situated in south-west Kenya. It has an incredible, most diverse, and great spectacular ecosystem and probably the best safari big game attraction and viewing eco-system. A prolonged stay offers an opportunity for an ultimate photo if you have an interest in photography. Maasai people are the ancestral inhabitants in the area.
The best time to visit Kenya is between July and October to view the amazing wildebeest migration. Mara hosts more than 95 species of mammals and about 570 species of birds such as vultures, hornbills, long-crested eagles, and ostriches. Between December and February, it’s warm, offering a good time for the big cats. Maasai Mara is a great destination all year round for big game and big cats in the ecosystem.
